MARK PYLES
Senior Pastor
Pastor Mark is married to Valarie and they have 2 wonderful adult daughters who are both serving the Lord in their local churches. He has a wonderful son-in-law who serves his church in WV as an elder. He also has 2 grandsons in West Virginia who are his love and joy.
He was born and raised in Point Pleasant, WV and then in Gallipolis, Ohio by parents who loved the Lord and raised him and his brother in the local church. Saved at 6 years old, he had a strong desire to be a pastor as early as 5th grade.
Mark graduated from Liberty University (then Liberty Baptist College) in 1984 with a major in Pastoral Ministries. After graduating, he served in full-time ministry in Baptist churches across West Virginia as a minister of music and youth pastor for over 12 years, and now as a senior pastor for more than 28 years. His ministry here at Grace began in September of 2011, and has been the greatest blessing of his 40+ years of ministry serving as the senior pastor.
His hobbies are spending time with his family and golfing. He also loves to watch football, especially the national champions - THE OSU Buckeyes.
His greatest passion is expository preaching and being an under-shepherd of his local church.
